Dear Xanga,

Today I filled out one of these things on face book. Lately it has been the fad on facebook so I contributed to this in thing of the moment.

Here it is!

1. Everyone’s 25 things helped me procrastinate. I also really enjoy reading them. I like learning more/getting to know people better. Keep posting them! J

2. I love singing and memorizing lyrics. I sing a lot in the shower, elevators, and when I walk by myself. I occasionally make up my own lyrics and melodies.

3. For about 3 weeks now, I’ve been eating three apples a day. Did you know that apples are a natural breath freshener? Now you know.

4. I tried to set this guy up with my cousin. Even though I didn’t know the guy, I thought he liked her so I tried anyway. That didn’t work out too well. After getting to know that guy a little better, I ended up being really irritated, annoyed, and frustrated with him. I began to hate him. I was so mean to him. I flamed his xanga chatterbox. I heard that he cried himself to sleep because of all the awful things I did to him. Miraculously enough, as time went on we became friends. That guy is actually now my best friend. I can tell him everything/anything. He’s practically in my family now. His name is Nelson Nguyen.

5. I use to fiddle with my hair to relieve stress. I’m not sure exactly when it started, but I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t doing it. Now it has become one of my bad habits and I find myself unconsciously fiddling.

6. In high school my “bester friend” Kelvin Arca-san made up PokeMANG. Everyone had a pokemon name. Mine was “Tafiary” (clefairy). Some of my favorites were: Kelvinusaur (Kelvin- Venusaur), Bingler (Bing-Kingler), Neldoran (Nelson-Nidoran), Raytta (Ray- Rattata).

7. I love watching and playing tennis. I have been of fan of Rafael Nadal for about 5 years now. It’s great to finally seem him at number 1. WHOO. I only like watching live tennis matches. I feel like by watching the match, I somehow affect the outcome.

8. Throughout the years, my family has gone through several pets. This includes: 6 dogs, 5 hamsters, tons of fish, 5 baby turtles, 2 rabbits, 10 chicken, 1 rooster, and 5 birds. All of the pets either died or we had to give them away. Of the six dogs, I currently now only have two dogs.

9. I’ve wanted to become a teacher ever since kindergarten. My goal hasn’t changed. I can’t wait to start taking teaching classes and fulfilling my lifetime dream career.

10. During most of my childhood, I always hung out with my 8 cousins and 2 siblings. Some people thought we were an asian gang. I have so many great memories with them: like learning to ride my bike down a huge hill, riding our bikes on our elementary school roof, getting in mud ball fights with “Lukie Dukie”, Biggies, Middlies, Littlies, Rascal hotel, Gooney Rocks, Old Maid stories, Scary foot print, Lily’s house, Tom’s BBQ, shrimp pealing, eating “butter cups”, sports, and sleepovers. Even though my cousins and I occasionally go eat dinner and spend the holidays together, I really miss those days.

11. I’m glad I have 20/20 vision because the bridge of my nose can’t really hold glasses up for very long. I would wear sun glasses more often if they would stay up for longer periods of time. >.<.

12. My growth spurt in 6^th grade was 1 inch. Sad.. I know..

13. When I was a kid, my siblings used to make me cry every day. As the youngest child of three, I was bullied and tortured a lot. I will never forget the time when my siblings put a glow in the dark scream mask outside of my window. I’m sort scarred for life. They would also force me to do really ridiculous things: like wrestle with my German Sheppard dog. My brother use to scare me with spiders and put bugs in my shoes. Despite all of that, I feel so fortunate to be the youngest. My siblings play a large role in my life. They constantly teach me, give me advice, and assist me whenever I need it. I’m very close with both my siblings. They are like my best friends. I’m also the baby and favorite in the family.

14. Ever since I was five, I have been wishing on stars every day. “First star I see tonight.. ”

15. I actually haven’t got tired of people asking me: “Is taffy your real name.” However, I have gotten tired of hearing “laffy taffy” song being sung to me. That song really sucks; I seriously don’t know why people liked it.

16. People always ask me how I got my name. I usually answer with my fake answer because I think it sounds better and it makes old people laugh.

a. My fake answer: My mom wanted a sweet child so she thought Taffy would be the perfect name.

b. Real Answer: My mom wasn’t expecting me. She actually found out she was pregnant when she went to the hospital with my aunt. My aunt named her child, who is 3 months older than I, Tammy. My mom wanted a similar name so she just changed the M’s to F’s.

17. I played the Chinese Zither (Guzheng) for two years. I quit because my teacher was price gouging and I couldn’t really afford it. $60 for 30 minutes? $120 for 1 hr. Although the lessons were extremely expensive, I still always regret quitting.

18. I hope one day to go to china and seriously study Chinese. I want to further learn about my families past, culture, language, and continue learning how to play the zither.

19. I want to have three children. I want three just so that there could be a Taffy in the family. I’m not sure how I’ll feel when it comes time to giving to birth to these said children though.

20. Whenever I like a song I replay it over and over again. One time I replayed the song for an entire day. The song was “I must be dreaming ” by Frou Frou. I currently can’t stop listening to Gravity by Sara Barillels.

21. Even though I care a lot about neatness and organization, I can only keep it up for about 2 weeks. I tend to get lazy and need to reorganize later.

22. I don’t really enjoy small talk because I’m not very good at it. I actually like getting to know people better. I have and prefer smaller groups of friends.

23. I like to bake cookies, cupcakes, and cakes for my friends and family. I’m slowly getting better at decorating.

24. My father has gone through a lot of hardship throughout his life. Due to communism, my father was forced into poverty. He had to quit school at an early age to work and support his family. Even though my dad only completed up to 4^th grade in schooling, he is by far the most insightful person I know. He always has positive attitude and has taught me many valuable life lessons. I love hearing about his stories of triumph and overcoming the struggles. My mother use to be an opera singing in china. She still sings very well. While I practice playing my zither, she sings a long.

25. Before I left for college I bought a dog stuffed animal. I named it JARD. I knew I would miss my lovely doggie Jaja too much so I bought JARD. JARD stands for “JA Replacement Dog”. Jaja is 10 years old. I don’t think I could ever bare to see her pass away. I fear that day. I hope it never happens. I LOVE YOU JAJA!

Dear Xanga,
Today as I was writing in my personal journal, I suddenly desired to create a livejournal. I figured that "hey.. I should keep an online journal to reflect upon my thoughts that are open to the public to read." Then I remembered about my old xanga account. Surely enough my xanga account was still working and kicking it. I remember religiously writing in this journal about all my premature thoughts. I look back at some of my writing and laugh. There aren't many traits/qualities that I have, that I am particularly proud of obtaining. However, there is one thing that I realized I love about myself after reading my blogs was my enthusiasm. Whenever I like/love/obsessed with something, I'm a total fanatic about it. I remember all of my friends knowing my at the time favorite movie/celebrity/ drama/ band and making fun of me for it. I miss those days. These days I have a vague hint of what use to be my interests: Rafael Nadal and NEWS. No longer am I watching dramas back to back or googling new jpop band favorites or even on top of the popular music scene. Sometimes I look back to those high school days and miss them. I had so much fun doing those activities/hobbies. However, now I'm at a somewhat content point in my life. Although conditions at home with my mom aren't doing as well as they should, I suppose things are going well. (For those of you who don't know about my mom, don't worry about it, I'm dealing with it.)
For an entire year I didn't write in my xanga. So many things about me have changed. I met so many people that have influenced my life.
As for my view on my love life, I have definitely matured. In high school, I was always watching those romantic dramas and hoping to find that prince charming or boyfriend, but now it's different. As opposed to seeking potentials, now I'm just going to wait. Sure, I'm always up for finding the guy of my dreams, but now I'm not searching for it. I'm content with my life how it is now. The right moment to have a boyfriend will come when I'm ready. Yeah, I'll admit, with most of my friends having relationships right now it kind of sucks to be alone or single. But hey, I'm happy right now, and that's all that matters. :)
After enduring a brutal year of college, I have learned to love education. I enjoy learning new things and becoming a better person as a result. At college people are to find themselves. They are to discover personality traits, qualities, and facets about themselves that changes their entire lives. Although UCSD was difficult at times, I stuck through it and in the end I became extremely proud of what I accomplished. Writing 10+ papers this year and reading 10+ books, I learned more than I ever could on my own. In the mists of accomplishing these tasks my life was overwhelming and stressful, in the end all I can say is: it was all worth it.

I'm about to go to the gym. That was enough essaying for now. :)
I hope everything was grammatically sound enough for those of you who bother to read this.

10AM - Called Bing, Breakfest
11:00AM - 1:30PM - Over at Bing's House getting nails painted and talking about stuffers
1:30PM - 3:00 Nelson comes over to steam my somewhat wrinkly dress and I straighten his hair <3 :)

Hey Friends Listen Up
its been fun :) all coming together and making up helix's minority group of asians.
all of us eating lunch in that area nicknamed "china town".
with key club, having the same classes, just hanging out
we all somehow found each other and
ended up friends..
it's been a good four - three years together and now it's almost over..
most of us are seniors and we will be moving onto college
while others of us will be in highschool for the final year without half the group..

HEY XANGA..
LONG TIME NO BLOG

It's been a month to be exact.. wow exactly..
a lot of things have been happening despite my not blogging..
school has been blah.. with ap testing but it's almost over! whee almost..prom is coming up.... and so is graduation.. wow hs is almost over.. crazy how 4 years pass so fast.. i'm actually almost an adult and off to college where i'll have to fend for myself..
workie workie - got my third paycheck from panda.. work has been okay.. cept for the cash register.. i'm always very careful but at the end of the day when we check the money i'm always nervous.. so nervous that maybe i lost some money..
music wise..my favorite topic
i've been falling in love with tegomass..
their single comes out tomorrow and guess what i got it already!
i got it yesterday thanks to bww2 <333
It seriously felt like forever waiting for this single to come out.. and i'm so glad i got it early.. i absolutely love it!
Tegomass is just <33 seriously if i didn't fall for yamapi already.. i would be all over tegoshi.. well he's a close second to yamapi.. but yeah tegoshi omg he is soo <33 in the hoshi wo mezashite. miso soup and now his Kiss Kaerimichi no Love Song.. he is seriously LOVU in those pvs.. Massu is too.. but tegoshi takes the cake <333 i'm really proud of tegoshi and massu because they both sing so well i adore their voices.. just adore them and finnally have a chance where they dont' hafta lipsync.. i love their live voices.. and when NEWS lip syncs i always bite my tongue.. i really wish they would do live more often.. but yeah totally addicted to tegomass lately.. i listen to their music nonstop now <333

Watching the now airing anime LOVELY COMPLEX.. Tegomass sings the theme song opening and ending song. and it's actually pretty good i like it a lot... this anime makes me laugh soo much and the storyline is pretty cute.

Yamapi's new drama Proposal Daisakusen watched the first episode.. oh yamapi your so darn good looking and such a great actor i like the storyline.. i just wish they woulda had a better actress as the lead role.. tamaki woulda been so much better why not a third drama pairing together! other than the actress part i like the drama and can't wait for the rest of the drama to come out and get subbed.. <3 yamapi <3

Kurosagi

Theme Song: Daite Senorita Yamashita Tomohisa
Kurosagi.. I at first wasn't sure about this drama. I wanted to watch it because my yamapi was the main character and I was just dying to watch another one of his dramas after watching the wonderful jdrama nobuta wo produce. However, much to my surprise I was actually hooked on this drama not only because of yamapi but because of the storyline.. I really enjoyed it and was wondering what would happen next. I sort of guessed the ending and was almost right but the end definately surprised me a bit. There is SLIGHT and I mean SLIGHT romance in this drama so if thats what you are looking don't watch kurosagi it doesn't have much romance.. it is a drama about swindling and the many ways people swindle naive people. it is truly an eye opener.. it just shows that humans can be senseless for money and that you shouldn't trust everyone so willingly without checking their money. it goes from so many swindling cases and to me each were very interesting. I absolutely love yamapi though after this drama seriously that man is just too great of an actor and i love his singing. his single daite senorita is the theme song and it is great! daite daite daite senorita <333 also the soundtrack is wonderful definately want to download it. I recommend this drama to everyone, it is an eyeopener and very great storyline. Guys and girls both it is a great drama and you should check it out!
but for you girls.. watch out.. you might find yourself falling for yamapi.. seriously.. <33

Today is mister Yamashita Tomohisa's Birthday! he's 22 and still fine as ever! <33
Happy Birthday <33 and may all your wishes come true! I can't wait until Proposal Daisakusen where yamapi finnally stars in a drama that has some romance!

speaking of arashi.. lately i've been getting back into some of their songs.. i still like arashi.. i just am not as obsessed as i was before.. where i was like arashi arashi for dream for life.. haha

currently watching the jdrama Kurosagi..

Yamashita Tomohisa plays Kurosaki, a young man whose family was destroyed by swindlers. Despite that, Kurosaki grows up to become a con artist known as Kurosagi. As Kurosagi, he swindles other con artists and returns the money to the original victim. He works with the master swindler Katsuragi Toshio (Yamazaki Tsutomu) even though Toshio had a hand in the destruction of Kurosaki’s family.

Kurosaki's life begins to change when he meets Yoshikawa Tsurara (Horikita Maki), a young law student who disapproves of his disrespect of the law. Can she persuade Kurosaki to give up swindling and his quest for revenge?

Based on the hit manga series by Natsuhara Takeshi

this drama is obviously about swindlers and my yamapi is the main actor and wow he is very good at acting and might i add very hott in this drama :) at first i thought it was going to be a little strange.. but then the drama is actually very good i like it alot. and nobuta the actress from nobuta wo produce is also in the drama as well and she is also very good. i like this drama a lot.. yamapi makes me fall for him too much with his dramas..and it's his birthday he's going to be 22 on monday! <333 he's only 4 years + a few months older than me.. why that's around my ideal age for a guy . hehe <3333 well ne who thats not gonna happen.. well maybe in my dreams neh? haha

since i last blogged i've been listening to NewS ALOT! and I <333 THEM <33333333333333333
i haven't listen to ALL of their songs.. working my through getting to know each song and my dwnload is so slow takes a while so yeee. >.<

1. Tomohisa Yamashita <33
<333 my yamapi most ofcorse.. you just can't not fall for him after watching nobuta wo produce and kurosagi.. it's just not possible well in my opinion.. not to mention that his voice is <333 and his face as well <333 he's a hott singer, actor, dancer, for sureeeeee <33 very very very talented man he will always be my ichiban <3

as for the rest.. subject to change as i watch more videos..
based on my so far NewS knowledge..

2. Yuya Tegoshi
i absolutely love his voice.. yess i will admit that he has the best voice in NewS.. you know at first glance i would say he's alright looking but then when you watch Hoshi Wo Mezashite and the light is like gleaming at him and he's singing and his hair.. especially at the end AWWWWWWW KAWAII <3333 i didn't think that i would like him but omg he is <333 i like him a lot.. alot alot..

3. Takahisa Masuda

just simply adorable.. his smile.. he has an excellant voice as well.. love it.. for news my order in best voice is Tegoshi, Masuda, Yamapi. i also love the song miso soup.. tegomass is <3333333

4. Shigeaki Kato
i don't understand why he always get only a few lines to sing.. i really like his voice in sayaendo... rough and hott <33 not to mention he is very good looking not just cute like Masuda and Tegoshi.. veryyyyyy good looking <33 his smile is also lovu! and his purly whites are hott..
5. Ryo Nishikido
his voice is very interesting it seems to change a lot in songs.. or atleast thats what i think it varies but i like it alot in sayaendo.. a lot <33 he is good looking too.. i love his hair.. and he is was such a cute johnny jr. <333
6. Keiichiro Koyama
i must admit.. i don't think he's cute or good looking.. he's okay.. but nonetheless i still like him. he's a pretty good actor.. saw him guest appearing in kurosagi ep. 2. and he's pretty good. i like his normal speaking voice it's very nice.

i like all NewS members!

as for Hiroki Uchi and Hironori Kusano i still don't really know them that well because i've been only watching recent NewS things.

I found a wonderful wonderful band called NewS!

I just want to say thanks to Denize though really :) once she found i wanted to know more about NewS she immediately posted links on her xanga <333 and yes I have been clicking watching and LOVINGGGG NewS music!

Being a Johnny Group, NewS is always compared to my former number 1 favorite jpop band ever Arashi.
I hate to say it.. but i seriously listened to arashi too much to the point where i hate their music except for a few songs >.<
And what bugged me about Arashi was they were kinda hard to defend..
my cousin always comparing them to DBSK and other korean bands.. arashi just went out the window..
i think it's because i only really liked 1 person in their band.

What i learned from Arashi is.. to NOT listen to your favorite band and only your favorite band. soooooo i decided to go slowly with NewS because they are a great band and i dun wanna ruin their music so far listened to 4 songs and i must say :) and yes.. NewS has way better singers.. I don't think I dislike any of their voices.. not so good with their names right now except for Yamapi but I know faces :)

on my life today i accomplished a large part of my senior project
made TWO pleted skirts today! took me FOREVER! but luckily my mom's friend was patient. I KNOW HOW TO SEW NOW GUYS! AREN'T YOU PROUD! <3
took me forever.. seriously a lot of re stiching and cutting and everything.. but I got it down!
my first time sewing ever and i managed to make two skirts! whee.. tomorrow it's gonna be two shirts and BAM senior project done! can't wait..
i've been way behind with key club stuff.. it's so bad.. note to self call Catherine and set up meeting.. >.< I hate to say it.. but i think i'm getting key clubbed out.. i don't want to do that much for it anymore and i'm not caring abotu things i used to.. it's really bad i needa get back on track.
